Litigation Assistant

Job Description :

Law firm located in Wellesley is seeking a full-time litigation legal assistant. MUST have 1+ years' litigation experience from a law firm.

Responsibilities

Provide support to several mixed-level attorneys

Provide limited support to office manager

Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients

Draft legal documents

File various legal documents (e-filing)

Conduct social media searches

Scheduling

Outgoing mail

Minimal phone backup

Some data entry

Obtain electronic file materials (Box, CounselLink, Dropbox, numerous secure platforms)

Setup of and assistance with coordinating remote proceedings / webinars (Microsoft Teams, GoToWebinar, Skype, Zoom, etc.)

Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders

Skills

Time management

Knowledge of legal terminology / regulations / court system preferred

Proficiency in legal technology / e-filing / filing fees preferred

Proficiency in Rule 9A preferred
