Manufacturing Specialist, Machining

Responsibilities

• Execute the production, assembly, and integration of complex machined parts in a multi-axis machine shop
• Resolve, analyze, and solve manufacturing discrepancies, while interfacing with the quality team (resolving issues for design, fabrication, and assembly)
• Fully develop and implement future state production systems for all products
• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills up to 5-axis
• Inspect parts using hand tools to verify dimensions
• Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and / or verbal instructions
• Work with complex, tight-tolerance parts and various materials
• Meet expectations for productivity
• Communicate with shop leadership when production is inhibited
• Continuously provide feedback for process improvements

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range : Manufacturing Specialist / Level 4 : $43.00 - $52.00 / hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is one part of SpaceX's total rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives (stock or stock options), discretionary bonuses, stock purchases, comprehensive medical / vision / dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, and other benefits. You may accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and 10 or more paid holidays per year.
