This role is full-time, exempt, permanent role, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Out-of-town travel up to 15%

Function :

The Safety Manager will be responsible for tracking, documenting and supporting safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors for a specialty mechanical subcontractor . The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction safety practices that include but are not limited to excavation, electrical, welding and mechanical work.

Essential Functions :

• Support comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to construction sites that involve a multi-trade workforce including excavation, electrical, welding, and mechanical work.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Track safety training for employees, including new hires and ongoing training sessions.
• Maintain documentation on incidents, accidents, and near-misses. Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Monitor and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on construction sites.
• Coordinate, document, and track regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
• Support emergency response plans and procedures.
• Support safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and a proactive safety culture.
• Manage safety documentation and records, including incident reports and training records.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
• Stay informed about advancements in construction safety practices and recommend improvements to existing programs.
