Staff Accountant – Henrico, VA (Hybrid)

A growing and dynamic organization in the West End of Richmond is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their collaborative accounting team. This role will support day-to-day accounting functions, assist with month-end close, and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional interaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Prepare journal entries for prepaids and other accruals

Review and approve employee expense reports in accordance with company policy

Reconcile and post corporate credit card transactions

Process vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency

Reconcile general ledger accounts and follow up on outstanding items

Create ad hoc reports and financial analyses by compiling and interpreting account data

Analyze financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards

Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist with external audit requests

Provide support to order processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions as needed

Act as a liaison between finance and cross-functional teams to resolve day-to-day operational issues

Contribute to the preparation and review of monthly reporting packages for the finance team

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

1–4 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
