Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently. Must be located in the Houston area. 10+ years of immigration law experience with a proven track record. Fluency in Spanish for client communication. Published legal articles or speaking engagements on immigration topics. AILA membership and active participation in immigration law networks. Experience supervising legal staff or managing a legal team. Proven success in expedited / emergency cases (e.g., stays of removal, humanitarian visas). Strong negotiation skills with USCIS, ICE, and CBP. Successful appeals before the BIA or federal courts. Community or pro bono involvement in immigrant rights initiatives. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law and in good standing with the state bar. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Excellent verbal communication and client advocacy. Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently. Autonomy and impact in a growing firm. A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney in Pasadena, TX. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and represent clients in various immigration matters. The position requires a strategic thinker with a compassionate approach to client advocacy.
Duties
- Represent clients in deportation and removal proceedings.
- Handle immigration bond hearings and detention-related matters.
- Prepare and file applications for asylum and withholding of removal.
- Manage cancellation of removal cases.
- Submit FOIA requests for immigration records.
- Assist with citizenship and naturalization processes.
- File green card renewals and family-based petitions.
- Advocate for survivors through Visa U, Visa T, and VAWA petitions.
- Advise on investor visas and B-1 / B-2 visitor visas.
- Prepare and file immigration appeals, motions to reopen, and motions to reconsider.
