Duties Description As a Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric), you would provide clinical consultation and training on all aspects of psychiatric nursing; plans, supervises, and provides nursing care to individuals with mental illness in facilities and programs operated by the Office of Mental Health.

Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder.

Substitutions : A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing may substitute for one year of post licensure clinical nursing experience; and a Master's Degree in Nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience required for Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric).

Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 ($72,032), an Increase Hiring Rate ($9,688), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and a location pay of ($3,400) and the posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($91,381) and Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and Location pay of ($3,400).

Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment.
