American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Lead Software Validation Engineer in Lake Orion, Michigan.

Job Summary

The Lead Software Validation Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the validation of embedded and application-level software systems to ensure compliance with functional, performance, and safety requirements. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and leading validation teams in the execution of these plans. The Lead Software Validation Engineer ensures adherence to industry standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 9001, playing a critical role in delivering high-quality, reliable, and compliant software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software validation process across multiple projects and teams, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to validation standards and procedures.
• Define and implement test strategies, validation plans, and test cases based on software requirements.
• Design and oversee the development and implementation of both automated and manual test execution frameworks.
• Evaluate requirements and design documentation for testability and traceability throughout the validation process.
• Coordinate validation activities in collaboration with development, systems engineering, and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
• Oversee defect tracking, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and validation specialists.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for validation tools and methodologies.
• Generate and present validation reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and audit documentation to support compliance and project tracking.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
