HOA Accountant

LHH is hiring for an HOA / Property Accountant in the West Palm beach, FL area. Our client is searching for an accountant with a strong HOA / Property background. This position is working fully in office with a great company that offers excellent benefits. Responsibilities :

Take ownership of reviewing, organizing, filing, and coding accounts payable invoices for processing and payment.

Proactively reconcile credit card statements, ensuring all orders and items are accurately matched to invoices.

Meet with residents one-on-one to analyze their ledgers including maintenance, special assessments, and miscellaneous charges and payments explain balances due, and recommend payment methods that best suit their needs.

Assist in collections by monitoring delinquent accounts, communicating with residents about outstanding balances, and following internal procedures to escalate when necessary.

Review the general ledger for accuracy, suggest journal entries for misclassifications, and follow up to ensure timely corrections.

Qualifications :

3+ years of accounting experience (HOA or property management preferred).

Strong knowledge of special assessment and fund accounting is required.

Solid understanding of GAAP, prepaid expenses, and accruals as part of accrual accounting.

Experience with general ledger analysis, variance analysis, and journal entry preparation.

Familiarity with Vantaca software is highly valuable; experience with Enumerate or QuickBooks Online is also a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions and email correspondence.
