Utilize diagnostic equipment, specialized tools, and technical manuals to accurately identify and resolve problems. Repair diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other components as needed. Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are performed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with service advisors to explain repair recommendations, processes, and associated costs to customers. Formal diesel technician training or certification is preferred. Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions control, and related components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and technical resources. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
