Our manufacturing company is seeking a 2nd shift (3p-11 : 30p) Industrial Maintenance Technician for our plant. The Maintenance Technician repairs systems and components, troubleshoots, inspects, completes service requests, and oversees preventive maintenance in an efficient and timely manner for the needs and safety of guests, staff, and contractors. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who is mechanically and electrically skilled to ensure our plant is maintained and operates in accordance with our QEHS policy. Applicants will complete a Basic Maintenance Skills Assessment at interview. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for up to 90 days.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of Sun Polymers International, Inc.
Run service calls.
Use of Upkeep system to track and complete work orders
Repair plumbing, electric, mechanical, carpentry and various types of equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain proper scheduling of assigned duties and obtain materials to perform cost effective maintenance and repair activity.
Report issues, problems, or items affecting (or potentially affecting) proper and safe operation of equipment.
Prioritize assigned maintenance work to properly execute emergency and / or mechanical failure response.
Maintain proper documentation of all assigned maintenance policies, procedures, and schematics.
Maintain acceptable log of planned and executed maintenance activity.
Maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other persons associated with Sun Polymers International, Inc.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
Tenure of at least 1 year in previous positions
At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledge in the following trades : Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry and Electrical.
Demonstrate ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment.
Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment, i.e., forklifts
Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
Attention to detail.
Exhibit ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
Work efficiently and manage time effectively.
Possess the physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
