OVERVIEW :
The Senior Director of Institutional Giving, Team Lead will serve as a senior leader on Year Up United's Development team and will oversee a team of Institutional Giving Officers to secure annual financial resources at national and local levels in support of the Year Up United mission and ongoing operations and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Managing Director of Development , the Institutional Giving (IG) Team Lead is responsible for meeting an annual revenue goal, and supporting direct reports in reaching their revenue goals. This role is responsible for leveraging existing foundation donors to maximize engagement and funding opportunities and sourcing new relationships that align with the organization's strategic priorities. The Senior Director also personally owns a significant Institutional Giving portfolio, ensuring effective cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts therein. The IG Team Lead directs the identification and securing of new sources of Institutional Giving revenue to fuel the organization's growth.
This role will serve as a key thought partner in strategy setting and will also be responsible for managing budgeting, capacity building, work planning, and ongoing assessment of the Institutional Giving team's activities. In order to be a successful candidate for this position, you will bring a passion for our mission and an interest in leveraging your experience in the fields of fundraising and relationship building, especially working on six, seven, or eight-figure grants. Strong candidates for this role also bring experience leading and developing teams, as well as defining and setting organizational strategy.
