Human Resource Generalist
Supports the management and employees of the company by providing a range of Human Resource functions related to administration of company programs, payroll, employee relations, retention, compensation, benefits, and special projects.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Administer the 401(k) Retirement plan including automatic enrollment process, evaluating, and approving loans, hardships, withdrawals, reports, eligibility, and attend required due diligence meetings. Maintain close relationship with provider including scheduling and coordinating events related to the program.
- Administer the Verst Logistics Health and Wellness Program, gather feedback from employees, implement new ideas, scheduling and coordinating events related to the program.
- Maintain and track employees time off as it relates to FMLA / Short Term disability / Personal leaves.
- Primary point of contact on issues related to configuring time keeping in UKG (Dimensions / Kronos).
- Primary point of contact for management on the creation and sharing of reports related to people data in UKG.
- Back up the payroll team to cover vacations and absences; will require a regular rotation in completing and assisting in processing payroll.
- Ensure the accuracy of HRIS people data in compliance with EEO requirements to ensure EEO reporting is accurate and on-time.
- Prepares written responses to claims for unemployment benefits, and represents and defends the company at unemployment hearings to minimize the company's liability.
- Administers the Performance Management software to ensure annual review process is successful.
- Administer the Service Award program.
- Administer the employee purchase program.
- Administer, coordinate and plan Company Outings in conjunction with the HR Business Partners and the HR Team.
- Provides effective advice and counseling to supervisors on all matters involving employee relations.
- Creates and implements programs to promote company benefits, enhance communication efforts and improve employee satisfaction.
Job Specifications :
High School diploma or GED. Prefer bachelor's degree in human resources / business administration or PHR certification.Minimum of 5 years prior experience in human resources with emphasis on Administration of 401K / FMLA tracking etc.Advanced computer skills using Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with UKG (UltiPro / Kronos / Dimensions) strongly preferred.High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail and ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of human resources work.Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel to off-site locations as required.Qualifications
