Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Illinois Opportunities

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is currently hiring dedicated Special Education Teachers holding an active LBS1 endorsement to support students across Illinois. This full-time, school-based position is designed for educators who are passionate about tailoring instruction and delivering targeted interventions to meet diverse learning needs. By developing and carrying out IEPs that align with state standards and individualized student goals, you’ll play a vital role in fostering academic progress and personal growth.

In this role, you will implement evidence-based instructional practices, monitor student outcomes through ongoing assessment, and adjust strategies to ensure every learner is supported. Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your work—you’ll partner with general education teachers, related service staff, and families to create a positive and inclusive educational environment.

Key responsibilities include modifying curriculum for middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities, maintaining accurate records for compliance, contributing meaningfully to IEP meetings, and encouraging positive behavior through proactive supports and reinforcement. Participation in professional learning and development opportunities will also be encouraged to strengthen your expertise and practice.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement. A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of early childhood development, effective behavioral support strategies, and strong collaboration skills. While prior experience in a preschool or early learning setting is preferred, it is not mandatory.
