Join Viking and Turn Protection into Purpose
For more than a century, Viking has engineered fire protection solutions that safeguard people and property worldwide. We operate with integrity, innovate relentlessly, and put safety at the center of every decision. If you want your work to matter every single day, you’ll feel at home here.
A Day In This Role
You own the customer experience and the order lifecycle for fabricated fire protection materials—from the first quote to the final delivery.
- Shepherd complex orders end-to-end : open orders, quotations, returns / RMAs, claims, price discrepancies, expedite requests, and loose-material substitutions until every issue is closed.
- Build and refine customer quotes covering loose material, stocklists, and fabrication. Determine margins, freight, pipe costs, and other financial levers that influence branch profitability using established pricing strategies.
- Lead daily production meetings : set the load plan, publish the shop schedule, and review open backorders, expected receipts, and the truck calendar with facility leadership.
- Schedule outbound shipments to balance customer timelines with branch cost efficiency.
- Set up and maintain customer contract pricing and ensure it stays accurate over time.
- Negotiate material deadlines and lead times with suppliers and internal teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts : follow up on lost quotes, assist CSRs in resolving escalations, and handle inquiries and orders when CSRs are unavailable.
- Identify process strengths and gaps that affect service levels and profitability; recommend improvements.
- Compile data and generate reports for the branch or regional operations manager and other stakeholders as assigned.
- Cascade company directives that enhance service quality by organizing meetings with the right departments and people.
