Mechanical Project Manager

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and deliver complex mechanical engineering projects within the education, public works, water / wastewater, transportation, transit, government, and aviation sectors. The ideal candidate will be motivated to excel in a consulting engineering environment, embracing challenges as opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and deliver all project objectives including planning, scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance
• Lead and perform engineering calculations and assessments for mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, industrial ductwork, refrigeration, hydronic systems, air handling, and central thermal plants)
• Conduct and lead field investigations, HVAC load studies, energy modeling, and code reviews
• Manage quality control for mechanical / plumbing design documents, including drawings and specifications
• Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff and review their design outputs
• Coordinate project designs with client specifications, and ensure compliance with local, city, and state codes including permitting processes
• Navigate and resolve complex design and construction challenges in collaboration with Owners, Architects, and Contractors
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and manpower requirements
• Develop and maintain project management plans, pricing, budgets, and schedules
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including internal staff and external subconsultants
• Participate in client presentations, coordination, and business development efforts
• Provide leadership and continuous performance management to project team members
