We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing engineering team in Newark, Delaware. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead mechanical design and project management efforts for a wide variety of facilities projects. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building and industrial projects
- Manage all project phases including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to ensure successful project delivery
- Perform and review engineering calculations, energy models, and HVAC load studies
- Conduct and oversee field investigations and code compliance reviews
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to design standards
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and code officials to ensure design compliance and successful project execution
- Develop project management plans, budgets, and quality assurance documentation
- Participate in client presentations and contribute to business development and proposal preparation
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams and external subconsultants to meet project goals
- Ensure project completion within scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining high-quality standards
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited programMinimum 12 years of mechanical engineering experience, including HVAC and plumbing system designLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within one yearProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE or Carrier HAP preferred)Strong understanding of building, energy, and mechanical / plumbing codesExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsValid drivers license and ability to pass company motor vehicle screeningPreferred Qualifications :
