About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Manager to join our team, this position can sit in our offices in Austin TX, Broomfield, CO, or Phoenix AZ. This individual will be responsible for strategic oversight and resolution of construction claims , including general liability, workers' compensation, property, and subcontractor-related issues.

As a key advisor to senior leadership, you will drive claims strategy, risk mitigation planning, and legal coordination across a portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects. You will also partner closely with project executives, insurance providers, and external counsel to protect MWH’s interests while fostering proactive claims prevention measures across the organization.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a professional with 10+ years in construction claims, risk management, or legal advisory, who thrives in dynamic environments and brings a combination of operational insight, legal acumen, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Claims Management and Resolution :

• Manage and oversee all claims, including general liability, workers’ compensation, property damage, and subcontractor claims.
• Investigate claims in collaboration with project teams and subcontractors, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with policies.
• Develop and implement claims policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, Legal & Risk, Director, and legal counsel to ensure timely and fair resolution of claims.
• Monitor claims progress and provide updates to leadership, highlighting potential risks and trends.
