Join the team at Reserve at Barry, in Kansas City , Missouri as a Maintenance Supervisor II and take the lead in managing the maintenance operations for a professionally managed apartment community focused on quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance team, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, pools, and grounds.
- Manage preventive maintenance, work orders, make-readies, and emergency responses.
- Partner with the Property Manager and Regional Director on budgets, purchasing, vendor management, and large-scale projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and housing regulations (OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing, ADA).
- Conduct regular inspections of units, buildings, amenities, and grounds; correct unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain accurate records for maintenance activities, inventory, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for contractors, vendors, and local code enforcement.
Qualifications
5+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years supervising staff (multifamily preferred).Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, and appliance repair.CPO and HVAC certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).Experience with preventive maintenance programs, inventory control, and vendor management.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (and up to 100 lbs. occasionally).High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license required.Why Join Us
