As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and routine patrols. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate : $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Tue 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Fri 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sat 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related matters encountered during patrols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
