Title : Technical Writer I

Location : San Jose, CA 95134 (Hybrid)

Duration : 03+ Months Contract

Pay Rate : $53.74 / Hr. on W2

Shift : Morning shift 9am-5pm with 1 hour lunch

Hybrid Schedule : Tuesdays and Thursdays are required, the third day can be selected by employee.

This position is part of the company’s Robotics Automation Human Factors team, reporting to the Human Factors lead.

Company’s Robotics Automation aims for incredibly easy-to-use applications and interfaces, and one arm of this effort is excellent documentation for end users. The other critical aspect of efficient deployment and operational success is maintaining a Knowledge Base and Help Center for both internal and external users. Both of these initiatives will include working with roboticists, optimization experts, UI engineers, deployment teams, and many other SMEs to gather information, and leveraging new technologies to deliver innovative and intuitive knowledge experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write technical content including workflow descriptions, installation procedures, operating instructions, maintenance and troubleshooting information.
• Conduct interviews with SMEs to gather data for content. Responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously across a variety of topics to be documented.
• Coordinate, manage and control documentation and training material development projects and deliverables, working with designers and infrastructure team for publishing when needed.
• Define audiences and work with managers to identify and organize content on the same topic for those various user roles.
