Material Handler
This position has a primary role of receiving, inspecting and initially processing all production related materials.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Primary responsibility is the receipt, inspection, movement, and mixing of all resin material required for injection molding operations.
Responsible for incoming receiving inspection of materials and / or parts to appropriate control plans and recording results in company ERP system.
Effectively communicate and work with the Materials Manager and Operations Manager on available materials, scheduling lot changes and other associated production support needs to eliminate machine downtime and maintain 98% O.T.D. of material to production.
Maintains a clean, safe and organized material handling and warehouse area.
Maintains proper identification of all stock in storage locations eliminating the possibility for mixing of stock, maximizing access and flow through these areas.
Plans the sequence of material to optimize daily and weekend machine utilization, communicating information to appropriate personnel.
Must be able to move material with pallet jack and forklift. Must safely operate this equipment when unloading trucks and moving stock to storage racks, etc.
Grinds production by-products (i.e. sprues, parts and runners) for resale or scrap.
Available to work on weekends, holidays or off hours to support production requirements.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Education and Experience Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year of material handling or equivalent combination of education or relevant experience.
Shift Available :
Monday-Friday 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm

Base Salary / Hourly Range for this position is : $19.00 to $21.00 annually / per hour., and bonus target is 3%; shift premium may be available depending on shift associated with the specific job opportunity. Benefits including Medical, Rx, Vision, Dental, and Health Savings Account (HSA), Retirement and Security benefits including 401k and Life Insurance. In addition to Paid Time Off and paid Holidays, each employee receives 16 hours paid time each calendar year to perform volunteer services for Nordson-sponsored events.
