Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Team

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Team in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a retail or mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. By providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, you will help create a welcoming environment for everyone. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Fri 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sat 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sun 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or theft.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control systems and badge processes is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Holding a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Possession of a security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
