WeedMaps is hiring : Freelance Producer / Editor in California

Overview

We’re building a roster of talented freelance Producer / Editors to partner with our in-house creative studio. This is a freelance, project-based role – not a full-time position with benefits.

As a part of our network, you’ll collaborate on a range of projects from concept to final delivery, working across branded content, campaigns, and social-first storytelling. We’re looking for creative problem-solvers who can balance both the production mindset (organizing shoots, managing logistics, capturing content) and the editorial craft (cutting compelling stories, refining visuals, adding motion or graphics when needed).

Being active in the cannabis community and a regional expert in your area is a major plus – we value people who know their local culture and can help us capture authentic stories.

Responsibilities

• Produce, shoot and edit content across digital and social platforms
• Manage projects from pre-production through post
• Collaborate with our in-house creative team to deliver high-quality on-brand work
• Adapt quickly to different styles, formats, and timelines

Pay range : $600–$1,500 per project, depending on complexity and turnaround time. Final rate will be confirmed and agreed upon prior to the start of a project.
