Summary :

The Restitution Program is responsible for the collection and disbursement of court-ordered restitution to crime victims for unreimbursed expenses related to the crime.

Responsibilities :

• Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients.
• Conducts restitution intakes for criminal and supreme courts.
• Liaise with District Attorney’s Office, Department of Probation, and court personnel regarding restitution matters
• Monitors daily cash receipts / disbursement transactions and processes in the restitution database
• Informs the Director, Restitution of potential issues and provides initial resolution
• Prepares monthly statistics reports
• Monitors accounts receivable, accounts payable and daily banking tasks
• Report any unusual collections or court documents to Restitution Manager
• Provides guidance and training to Restitution Assistant as needed
• Resolves any discrepancies between restitution database and physical office file
• Prepares defendant compliance reports and provides information as needed.
• Works with complainants throughout the restitution process including notification of restitution orders, payment distributions and appropriate referrals and resources
• Maintains department files and records
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Hiring Range : $23.63-$26.58 Hourly

Full-time Hours : 35 Hours per week
