Product Manager, Large Ups - Americas
The product manager, large ups - americas is responsible for providing product management leadership in the americas region (usa, canada, and the latam) to drive growth and profitability of vertiv's large power converter (ups) product line. The product manager will manage the large ups product and service solutions to best serve the customers in the americas region. Key activities include managing customers, launching new products and services, managing the existing portfolio of products and services, and executing end-of-life for production and service. This role also requires regular collaboration and alignment with americas sales and services, americas sales operations, americas finance, and the global business unit regarding orders, sales, pipeline, and other key financial metrics related to the product line. The position will report to the sr. director, power management americas and will be based onsite at our delaware, oh location.
Responsibilities :
- Regional lead for product launches, pipeline, orders, sales, demand planning and life cycle management.
- Identify and translate market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to help define roadmap
- Analyze and drive activities to improve margin and profitability of the product line.
- Partner directly with the business unit, americas finance, sales, and sales ops to support pricing initiatives
- Ensure all the customer-facing offering documentation and marketing collaterals / tools are available and accurate
- Identify and pursue continuous improvement projects that deliver improved efficiency and / or quality.
- Collect voice of customers and work with the global business unit to refine roadmap for the americas region
- Develop metrics and track post-launch performance of new offerings (sales, orders, quotes, win / loss, pipeline)
- Support strategic planning efforts for the americas, partnering with various functional and strategy teams.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Electrical engineering is preferred.5 or more years in product management, product marketing / sales, technical sales or related experience.Experience with ups solutions required and past engagement with datacenter related customers preferred.Experience with engaging sales and channel partners in americas including latam preferred.Strong customer and business acumen and ability to act as the ceo for the product line.Strong organizational skills with an ability to combine long-term and short-term goals by setting priorities.Ability to quickly develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives.Technical expertise to translate stakeholder needs / pain points to solutions.Language skills : fluent in english, written and verbal required.
