Job Summary
- Seeking a Business Analyst who will be integral in ensuring our client's IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals
- Candidate will support a Product team and its leadership by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements
- Candidate will also facilitate team ceremonies and foster effective communication, both verbally and through written artifacts and documentation
- The role sits within a continuously evolving Agile and DevSecOps environment, requiring the candidate to proactively adapt and contribute to the organization's maturation process
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze and understand business needs and translate them into the product backlogAssist the product manager in prioritizing product backlog itemsAssist the product team in performing estimation and complexity assessments of product backlog itemsAssist the product manager in the creation and management of product roadmapsAssist the product team in generating and managing artifacts and knowledge basesAssist the product team in body of evidence (BOE) generation and submissionAssist the product team in test planning and managementFacilitate and refine product team level ceremonies (e.g., stand-up, sprint planning)Identify, map, and track dependencies internal and external to the product teamCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development and deliveryUtilize product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 to accomplish daily dutiesLeverage tools such as Confluence and Jira to facilitate efficient product managementManage risks and dependencies effectively in a software development contextAnalyze team and product performance through data driven insightsOrganize and facilitate team, customer, and stakeholder meetingsRequired Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret / SCI clearanceBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experienceUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)A general understanding of popular backend and frontend technologies2-4 years of experience in agile software product delivery or in direct support of a software development teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and presentation skillsProficiency in Agile methodologiesExperience working in Agile and Scrum methodologiesFamiliarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWSExperience with Confluence and JiraExperience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suiteExperience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, User Story development, and refinementAbility to be on-site at a client SCIF located in Washington D.C.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team membersExperience in analyzing and synthesizing dataInterest in Data Science topics and methodologyDesired Qualifications
