We're partnering with an exceptional school district in DuPage County, IL, searching for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction for a self-contained K–2 classroom.

In this role, you will support early elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs by providing tailored instruction, managing behavior, and fostering inclusion in a structured and supportive classroom environment.

Position Details :

• Location : In-person (no hybrid or remote options)
• Schedule : Monday–Friday, full-time school schedule
• Start Date : August 2025
• End Date : May 2026
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 32.5 hours per week
• Grade Level : Kindergarten–2nd grade
• Caseload : 4 students

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans, modify curriculum, and track student progress.

Support early elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs by differentiating instruction to meet their individual educational goals.

Utilize data-driven interventions and evidence-based instructional strategies to support student achievement and skill development.

Provide individualized instruction to cultivate academic, social, and emotional growth while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.

Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and positive peer interactions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.

Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of Illinois.

Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Endorsement in the state of Illinois.

Prior experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in special education or inclusive classroom settings; experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred.
