Vice President of Finance and Operations

The Vice President of Finance and Operations serves as the Chief Finance and Facilities Officer (CFFO) of the college and provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for college-wide budget development, budget monitoring, budget forecasting, fiscal affairs, physical plant, auxiliary enterprises (bookstore and food service), risk management, and safety / security programs. This position serves on the Executive Leadership team and reports directly to the college president. As a senior leader of the college and member of the Executive Leadership team, this position provides critical input to the president on key college issues and opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration or relevant field and five or more years of progressively complex administrative / managerial experience in a medium to large organization
• Track record of success in financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and budgeting
• Demonstrated a high level of skills in leadership, management, supervisory, organizational, and human relations
• Demonstrated genuine commitment to inclusiveness and shared governance in leadership and decision-making
• Knowledge of principles of continuous improvement and quality management
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons of diverse backgrounds and commitment to affirmative action in staffing and operations
• Track record of effective and vigilant stewardship of college / organization resources
• Demonstrated ability to identify and address issues and concerns in a diplomatic and sensitive manner
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency and demonstrated ability to use technology to develop business process efficiencies.
