job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMonitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures. Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with security-related inquiries and directions. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols. Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 years of security-related experience. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience working at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Job Description
As a Security Professional - Access Control Patrol in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
