Your role in our mission
We're seeking an experienced Sr. UX Researcher to lead research initiatives that connect us deeply with our users and uncover insights that drive meaningful product improvements. As a senior member of our product organization, you'll shape our UX strategy, mentor other UXers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure user‑centered decision making across the organization. You'll be responsible for establishing research best practices, selecting appropriate methodologies for complex problems, and translating research insights into strategic recommendations that align with business objectives. Your expertise will help ensure we're building the right solutions that address real user needs and pain points.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead and execute a variety of research methods including qualitative interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, journey mapping, surveys, and quantitative benchmarking
- Design and implement comprehensive research plans for complex projects in a fast‑moving environment
- Mentor junior UXers and evangelize research best practices across the organization
- Regularly present at Town Hall and All Tech meetings
- Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and effectively communicate them to stakeholders
- Collaborate with design, product, marketing, and engineering teams to incorporate user insights throughout the product development process
- Expand our research repository to make insights accessible and usable by the broader organization
- Partner with analytics teams to combine qualitative insights with quantitative data for a holistic view of user behavior
- Proactively identify research opportunities that could improve product strategy and user experience
- Advocate for user needs in strategic planning and prioritization discussions
Skills that will help you thrive
Bachelor's degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience5+ years of UX Research experience from planning to execution, with demonstrated impact on product decisionsA work history in the financial services industry is preferredExpert knowledge of various research methodologies and when to apply them effectivelyStrong leadership skills with eagerness to mentor junior UXers and influence stakeholdersExcellent communication skills with ability to translate research findings into compelling stories and actionable recommendationsExperience with research repository tools (e.g., Dovetail) and participant recruitment platformsComfort working in an agile environment and adapting research approaches to support rapid iterationAbility to balance strategic research initiatives with tactical needsExperience collaborating with data analysts to connect qualitative insights with quantitative metricsWillingness to manage parts of ResearchOps and self‑serve recruitmentProficiency with analytics software like Heap, Posthog, or similar is preferredWhat we offer

The salary for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
