Overview
Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking Engineering Managers for Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and I&C disciplines to join our team. This role supports projects across the company, coordinating with module fabrication and construction teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and innovative designs that meet client expectations and Kiewit's legacy of excellence. Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Lead and oversee engineering teams across disciplines (mechanical, piping, structural, civil, electrical). Provide direction and mentorship to engineers and subconsultants to ensure successful project execution.
- Strategic Market Development : Identify DOE and commercial nuclear market opportunities, key clients, partners, and risks. Define bidding strategies and set annual bid / award revenue targets. Analyze market trends to guide strategic direction and potential service expansion.
- Client Engagement : Maintain consistent engagement with key client decision-makers, teaming partners, and affiliate organizations. Lead technical meetings and discussions to build trust and align on project goals.
- Capture & Proposal Support : Collaborate with proposal and marketing teams to develop winning deliverables (proposals, brochures, presentations). Contribute to positioning efforts for key project pursuits by identifying technical differentiators.
Qualifications
Education & Experience : Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field. 15–20+ years of progressively complex experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and business development within the nuclear market. Proven success in developing new business tied to major nuclear facility construction.Strategic & Technical Expertise : Deep understanding of design engineering processes specific to nuclear facilities. Ability to develop commercial strategies and transactions typical for nuclear design engineering. Skilled in analyzing market data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.Leadership & Communication : Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Effective interface with internal departments, senior management, clients, and government representatives. Experience coordinating with proposal and marketing teams to produce strategic deliverables.Client & Market Engagement : Active engagement with key clients, teaming partners, and affiliate organizations. Ability to identify addressable markets, target opportunities, and define bidding strategies.Other Requirements : Must be a U.S. Citizen to support nuclear solutions. Flexible schedule with ability to travel as needed to meet client and opportunity demands.Location
The position is located in Lenexa, KS, Oak Ridge, TN, or Lone Tree, CO.
Compensation
Base Compensation : $201,000 / yr - $211,000 / yr. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and location.)
