POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, organizes, and assists the Anatomic Pathology Department with the daily operations and activities. Directs others in performing section specific duties from both internal and external customers to include : client support, billing, sending and receiving of case material (slides, blocks, reports, and specimens), handling and submission of add-on orders, filing and retrieving case material, clerical and general office work for Anatomic Pathology. Trains, directs and supervises office personnel as well as schedules and coordinates activities necessary to accomplish department needs. Coordinates different office activities to complete work and maintains good guest relations with visitors, medical staff and office personnel.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school plus at least two years of related experience as a Support Services Representative is required. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. An Associate's Degree in a work-related field is preferred.
