Join one of Washington, D.C.'s oldest academic teaching hospitals as the General Manager of Food & Nutrition Services . We are seeking an innovative and results-driven leader with a passion for food service excellence, team development, and operational efficiency. This role oversees all aspects of food services, including retail, patient, and catering operations, in a 609-bed healthcare facility.
Our company provides a full spectrum of services to healthcare facilities, including food and nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology, retail, and patient experience services. Responsibilities :
- Lead day-to-day operations of all food services, including patient meals, retail, and catering.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery while meeting company and client financial goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
- Create and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, regulatory standards, and internal quality policies.
- Manage and mentor a team of managers and staff, promoting collaboration and growth.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.Minimum 5 years of management experience in Food & Nutrition Services within a healthcare setting.Proven leadership in a unionized environment.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, payroll, and cash control.Exceptional communication and client relationship skills, comfortable engaging with C-suite executives.Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment.Why Join Us :
