Lead Prep Cook

Lark Pizza  is opening a new wood-fired pizza concept and looking to expand our team and seeking a strong LEAD PREP Cook, specifically with knowledge of DOUGH

Candidates must have relevant PREP Cook  experience within the hospitality industry.

Ideal Candidates :

At least 2 year of kitchen experience

Experience making Neapolitan or Artisanal style pizzas dough, or other relevant dough making experience

Master pizza production in a hand crafted pizza oven

Work a busy service smoothly

Exceptional eye for detail

Highly organized, detail oriented and punctual

Great attitude, respectful and a team player

Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds

Responsibilities :   Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Leading Prep tasks in the kitchen
• Ensuring other prep cooks are following recopies and prep schedules
• Daily Dough production
• Receiving orders
• Preparation of food for menu
• Communication and establishment of dish pars
• Knowledge of all culinary functions in the kitchen
• Trouble-shooting any problems that may arise
• Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Station maintenance and cleanliness
• Maintain a positive, pleasant, attitude every shift
• Other duties as assigned

With a little help from our very own Abe Vucekovich, Lark Pizza’s menu will provide patio-ready cocktails crafted with the same attention to detail found across any Meadowlark concept.

Guild Row is an innovative co-working and social space has become a hub for community and creativity in Avondale. Lark Pizza was created as both a continuation of Guild Row’s community-focused mission and a new culinary destination for Chicago.
