Account Director, Platform Partnerships

About this position :

As an Account Director of Platform Partnerships, you will play a key role in managing and strengthening our most strategic relationships with leading social platforms including TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Snapchat, and Pinterest. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of driving business growth through API integrations, partner enablement, and technical ecosystem expansion. In this cross-functional role, you will develop and execute platform strategies that accelerate revenue, elevate partner satisfaction, and reinforce our position as an industry leader.

What you'll be doing :

Client Relationship Management :

  • Lead executive-level negotiations with key strategic platform partners, collaborating closely with partnership, sales, account, and vertical leadership teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our revenue-driving platform partners, fostering strong, trust-based relationships and gaining a deep understanding of their business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute customized success and go-to-market (GTM) plans for each partner, aligning on clear goals and outcomes while strategically expanding Later's presence within each platform's ecosystem.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and execution of partnerships through project management of key programs.
  • Client Advocacy, Insights, and Feedback :

  • Serve as the "Voice of the Customer", ensuring partner needs, insights, and feedback are clearly and effectively communicated across the organization to drive alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Thought Leadership & Industry Influence :

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to lead co-marketing initiatives and events, owning partner outreach to cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
  • Serve as a thought leader and company ambassador at industry events, conferences, and key partner meetings including QBRs.
  • Client Support :

  • Design and deliver co-branded proposals to co-sell campaigns with each platform's sales teams
  • Develop incentives and packages with each platform to bring added value to our customer base.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to your partners, serving as a trusted advisor, and resource to address any issues or concerns.
  • Execution Support & Collaboration :

  • Partner with our Services and Strategy departments to provide a cohesive experience for current partners and develop internal processes to educate and track incentive budgets.

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, client relationship management, or business development preferably within the tech, social media, or influencer marketing industry.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value platform relationships and leading executive-level negotiations.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies, success plans, and co-selling initiatives.
  • Comfortable working with data to inform decisions, measure impact, and iterate on partner programs.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with a knack for building trust-based, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience acting as a "Voice of the Customer" to influence product, marketing, and service teams.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Services teams to bring initiatives to life.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Comfortable representing the company at industry events, conferences, and executive meetings.
  • Experience leading or supporting co-marketing initiatives and partner-driven events is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to own partner roadmaps, coordinate incentive programs, and track performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience also considered.
  • Travel required.

  • Our approach to compensation :

    We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

    Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission / variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

    To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.

    Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

    Salary Range :

    $180,000 - 220,000 OTE

    Where we work

    We have offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; Chicago, IL; and Vancouver, WA. For select positions, we are open to hiring fully remote candidates. We post our positions in the location(s) where we are open to having the successful candidate be located.
