Title : Excavator Operator
We are looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator. Excavators, Mini Excavators, Backhoes are used in general construction.
Duties include preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement of materials and working with co-workers to ensure that projects are completed accurately and safely.
Requirements :
- 4+ years of heavy equipment experience.
- Be able to operate excavators safely and efficiently from mini to standard (0-44 tons).
- Understand and be able to perform the required daily maintenance on tracked equipment and excavators.
- Be able to operate other equipment as necessary (i.e., front-end loaders, compactors, forklift, telehandler, etc.).
- Manage 1-3 laborers as necessary.
- Must possess a valid Texas state journeyman’s license.
- Mathematical proficiency as it relates to basic geometry, algebra, and mathematics.
- Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting to 50 pounds.
- Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive / technical nature.
- Extensive knowledge of operating JOHN DEER, CAT, KUMATSU Excavators.
- Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
- Willingness to travel.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish speaking abilities a definite plus).
- Must be self-disciplined, trustworthy, and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
- Must have a good driving record with minimal infractions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Be able to operate excavators safely and efficiently from mini to a 336 excavators in a safe and efficient manner.Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials during construction.Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the equipment and accessories.Understand and be able to perform the required daily maintenance on tracked equipment and excavators.Ability to dig up to 18' deep pits and trenches for electrical duct banks, manholes, pull boxes, bore pits, etc.Be able to excavate and backfill to original condition.Experienced with working around and closely to other utility lines.Have good understanding of soil types, trenching and shoring requirements.Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts and / or verbal instructions.Load and Offload fill, aggregates, and brush.Dig trenches, water drainage systems and detention ponds.Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Ensure the work area is safe and free of hazards.Knowledge of utility locating procedures and safety protocols.Communicate with other team members to ensure project goals are met.Follow all safety procedures and regulations.Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques is a plus.Perform other duties as assigned.Pay :
Salary based on $23 – 28hr TBD based on experience, leadership, and self-performance.Health Insurance.Vision 100% paid.Dental 100% paid.13-days PTO within your first year.5 Holidays.Schedule :
