job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAdministering the safety management system to ensure a safe work environment Help to improve safety metrics including the coordination of programs to prevent incidents Learn safety practices and principles of a manufacturing environment Deliver a formal presentation to leadership on key project accomplishments Update policies, procedures and records Enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree program in Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering, Junior standing or above. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of Safety & Environmental regulations and safety management principle Ability to recognize problems / hazards, analyze them, and offer solutions using proven safety / incident investigation analysis tools. Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test.

Safety Co-Op
Scot Forge Company is looking to hire 2 Safety Interns, one in each Spring Grove, IL and Clinton, WI locations. This Co-Op is available from June 2026 to December 2026. A Safety Co-Op at Scot Forge will offer a student the opportunity to practice occupational safety theory in a real-world setting.
