Sr. Proposal Manager

This position can be located in any of our Southeast offices at GHD supporting a Hybrid work schedule.

Primary Functions :
- Manage priority pursuit efforts cross functionally across the Americas.
- Lead proposal strategy discussions, GNGs, and kick-off meetings for priority pursuits and ensuring strategic win themes are effectively incorporated throughout the proposal.
- Drives development and manages proposal team (technical leader, marketing coordinator, technical writes, and graphics, etc.).
- Manage capture and proposal teams through the development and production process from start to finish.
- Collaborates with team in the development of various proposal sections including Management, Personnel, Executive Summaries, and / or other Volumes as assigned.
- Facilitates color reviews, as well as check in reviews.
- Facilitate production and delivery of finished product, while complying with all RFP requirements.
- Lead interview strategy discussions.
- Manage the interview development and production process from start to finish.
- Leads and engages in project specific and client capture planning with NRMLs.
- Engages in the interview process to meet all client needs and align proposal themes and messaging with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning phase.
- Attends interview preparation and practice sessions; supports the team with presentation skills and delivery.
- Attends client pre-proposal and debrief meetings; shares lessons learned and best practices across teams
Clients :
Internal proposal specialists / managers, projects managers, subject matter experts, and technical and marketing staff.Interact with members of the North America BD Group as well as project managers, marketing and communications groups, and drafting department.People :
Manages proposal team to stay on schedule.Mentors and engages Proposal Coordinators, Proposal Specialist, and Sr. Proposal Specialists during proposal development.Manages Graphic Design support during proposal and interview development.Qualifications :
Bachelor or Master's degree.Minimum ten years of experience leading the proposal process from prepositioning phases through interview and driving teams to develop compliant and coemptive bids for an engineering, construction or professional services organization.Expert in Microsoft Suite.Expert in Adobe PDF.Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign) and Photoshop.Proficient in Salesforce / PowerBI.Personal Competencies :
Proven skill to manage and work effortlessly with Technical Leaders in any market and service line.Proven leadership and strategy development skills.Proven skill to strategize and develop strong marketing, pursuit, and proposal win themes and differentiators.Extensive expertise and skills in the proposal process.Enlists the support of team to carry out tasks of a proposal.Participate in industry organizations that help build GHD brand, e.g., Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), Society of Marketing Professionals (SMPS), and American Marketing Association (AMA).Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.Proven ability to negotiate, problem solve, plan, and display time management skills.Strong communication skills both written and oral.Excellent organizational skills required with ability to multi-task and prioritize.Even tempered in fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Take on some of the world's toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.
