A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its New Orleans, LA office. The firm specializes in complex civil litigation, including toxic tort, product liability, and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team dedicated to achieving optimal results for clients.

Duties

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload.
  • Conduct depositions and argue motions in court.
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
  • Review and analyze discovery requests.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
  • Prepare court filings and manage e-filing processes.
  • Support trial preparation and execution.
  • Maintain accurate time records.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Louisiana or studying for the bar.
  • Experience with motion practice and depositions.
  • Proven ability to lead plaintiff and expert depositions.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Organized and efficient work style.
  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters.

    • Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

    • Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in Louisiana or preparing for the bar exam.

    • Skills

  • Strong research and writing abilities.
  • Effective communication and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in managing complex litigation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Hybrid work environment with potential for fully remote work.
