General Responsibilities :
Regional Human Resources plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment. HR professionals are responsible for managing employee relations (ER), recruitment, onboarding, and development, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal regulations. They handle tasks such as responding to employee inquiries, processing HR transactions, conducting background checks, and maintaining employee documentation. Additionally, Regional Human Resources involves administering HR programs, supporting staffing efforts, and communicating HR concerns to leadership, all while upholding safety guidelines and quality standards. The Regional HR Generalist or Manager will support the HR activities of a region and may receive support from a Regional HR Coordinator depending on region size or volume.
Essential Roles And Responsibilities :
- Perform regional HR activities including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, employee development, communications, training, culture & wellbeing to ensure consistency and regional performance.
- Collaborate with the People Team to ensure effective communication to Operations.
- Support the region's HR compliance and strategy through process and policy interpretation, training, and initiatives.
- Administer regional HR programs, including recruiting, performance management, employee wellbeing, and training as the regional HR subject matter expert.
- Foster employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
- Identify staffing and recruiting needs and support hiring and regional recruiting best practices.
- Communicate HR concerns and escalate complex employee relations issues to corporate HR leadership.
- Process employee transactions such as new hires and terminations in the HRIS and conduct background checks.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Follow safety rules, participate in pre-task planning, and report safety issues.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field with at least 4 years' HR experience in a generalist role, or 8 years' related experience without a degree.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Business acumen or ability to quickly acquire it.Preferred Certification :
SHRM-CP or PHRJ-18808-Ljbffr
