Role overview

Lead Product Manager for the Partner Workstation Platform with oversight of Partner Workstation Platform and Sales Enablement Capability. This role aligns with Wealth Management’s strategic growth objectives and requires close partnership with the WIN team, National Sales Practice, and Salesforce to identify and deploy digital leads, pipeline management, unified dashboards, and incentive management features. The role also ensures the platform supports embedded user needs and related DCPX capabilities, collaborates with the WM data organization for trusted data, and supports evolving client service standards and segmentation definitions. Reports to the Head of Digital Client and Partner Experience (DCPX) and is part of the DCPX Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product lifecycle and issues affecting capability or service delivery, including discovery, innovation, new product planning, introduction, and post-launch management.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of product managers; build and execute 3-5 year product roadmaps aligned with corporate technology strategy.
  • Align business strategy with product strategy; ensure reliability, performance, quality, and robustness of the product group.
  • Conduct market and industry research to assess viability and competitive threats and inform product strategy.
  • Assess investment needs (capital and expense) and make recommendations to the Product Executive and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, in publications, and with clients as a thought leader.
  • Monitor financials and key performance indicators for the product group; ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Understand the impact of regulations on business strategy and roadmap.
  • Serve as main product point of contact for sales teams; communicate new features and value propositions; oversee RFI, RFPs, and due diligence responses.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity; manage staff and budget decisions.
  • Contribute to divisional strategic planning and ensure objective attainment; provide leadership and foster teamwork and communication.

Knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication; ability to distill complex subject matter into management-ready materials.
  • Proven business leadership with a track record in building products or understanding core product management concepts; ability to grow the strategic business vision.
  • Strong understanding of NT products and client needs and their impact on product development
  • Proven experience in managing, leading, coaching, and developing a team
  • Ability to build key relationships, influence, and negotiate with clients, partners, and leaders across disciplines
  • Program or project management experience; planning, analysis, design, and governance
  • Knowledge of business strategy development to manage profitability and performance of a major business segment; leadership and organizational skills to determine goals and resource needs
  • Experience

    A college or university degree and / or relevant proven work experience required. Related industry qualification (e.g., ACCA) preferred.

    Salary

    $164,600 - 288,000 USD

    Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. A discretionary bonus program may include an equity component.
