The Role

This is a critical leadership role for our Canadian facility in South Slocan BC, responsible for overseeing accounting operations, payroll, financial reporting, and cash management. Youll supervise two internal bookkeepers and coordinate closely with the CFO and operations leads. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a high-accountability, high-autonomy environment and wants to grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close, reconciliations, and internal reporting process
• Manage payroll, benefits, and CRA remittances; ensure compliance with Canadian tax rules
• Supervise AP / AR, vendor payments, customer collections, and banking
• Review and approve customer credit and monitor financial risk exposure
• Prepare internal financial statements and support external audits
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and ERP data integrity
• Coach, mentor, and oversee two Bookkeepers; ensure task alignment and development
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to support business planning
• Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting
