Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary technical resource and mentor for a small, dedicated team of machinists, providing expert guidance on complex setups, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Independently program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers (mills, lathes) to produce highly precise components from diverse materials, often under tight deadlines.
• Masterfully utilize advanced CAD / CAM software, pushing the boundaries of toolpath optimization and machining strategies for challenging geometries and exotic materials.
• Conduct rigorous first-article and in-process inspections using a full suite of precision metrology equipment, ensuring strict adherence to GD&T and quality standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve complex machining and tooling issues, implementing permanent corrective actions and driving continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate intimately with design engineers, providing expert feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM) and actively participating in design reviews.
• Manage machining schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure on-time delivery of critical components for multiple concurrent projects.
• Champion and enforce a culture of safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence within the machine shop.
