Director of Business Development - Design & Consulting

Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting new and existing clients in solving their capital project needs, generating new clients, supporting existing clients, and advancing the business development process. You will actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on your interactions with prospects.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting national growth opportunities in the Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, and Consumer Products markets
- Communicating regularly with regional office leadership, business development, and project managers
- Conducting appropriate research to identify target companies / organizations within industry segments denoted in the business unit plan
- Contacting, qualifying and setting appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means
- Providing targets with appropriate Haskell marketing material and responses to specific interests identified by targets
- Visiting qualified targets and / or arranging for personal sales calls by appropriate Haskell personnel
- Preparing qualifications statements and assisting in preparing responses to proposals for specific projects
- Developing and maintaining relationships with local and national civic, professional, and economic organizations that are sources of prospects
- Maintaining up-to-date prospect files and electronic databases
- Developing and managing a public relations program to include marketing and customer outreach
- Representing Haskell at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings
Qualifications
Minimum of a 4-year college degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, construction marketing, or a related fieldTo Thrive in This Role, You'll Need
Demonstrated experience selling engineering services for private sector food & beverage / CPG manufacturing clientsExcellent communication, organization, and follow-up skillsExcellent sales and customer relationship skillsAbility to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and TrustEnvironment & Benefits
