PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Social Media Content Creator at our Tysons, Virginia location. The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for developing engaging, on-brand content that drives awareness, builds community, and grows our presence across digital platforms. This role focuses on content creation – short-form video, photography, graphics, and storytelling-tailored to each platform. The ideal candidate is highly creative, comfortable in front of and behind the camera, and stays ahead of social media trends.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling content (short-form videos, photos, graphics, stories, reels, etc.) for use across social media platforms.
• Collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to align content with campaigns, launches, and brand goals.
• Ideate, storyboard, film, edit, and publish original content that resonates with target audiences.
• Stay current with emerging social trends, sounds, formats, and platform features to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Ensure all content reflects the brand’s voice, tone, and visual identity.
• Support live content creation and event coverage.
• Monitor engagement and provide feedback to optimize future content.

This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

Supervisory Responsibility

This positon will not supervise employees.

Licenses and Certifications

No additional licenses or certifications required.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
