Job Summary

The Clerk IV serves as an Academic Program Assistant with the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing (CON). Working within the Student Support Center, this role works closely with other Program Specialists, Academic Program Directors, and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This position reports to the Student Support Lead.

Essential Functions

• Provides administrative support to CON academic programs by assisting with student enrollment, progression, retention, withdrawal, graduation, advising assignments, and other program and student needs.
• Assists with student compliance.
• Fields inquiries received via telephone, email, walk-ins, events, and other sources about assigned programs. Replies quickly and accurately to inquiries and refers questions and leads to appropriate persons. Keeps accurate and timely records of inquiries received and communication with prospective and current students.
• Aids with event planning related to assigned programs (e.g., information sessions, workshops, video conferences, New Student Orientation, Pinning / Commencement activities, research events, etc.) in collaboration with Program Directors and other College of Nursing staff.
• Prepares paperwork, forms, and correspondence for assigned programs.
• Maintains organization, completeness, and security of student and program documents and files for the College of Nursing.
• Perform a degree audit for each student prior to graduation. Provides backup support, with supervisor’s guidance / cross-training, during support staff vacations, illnesses, and other absences to assist in maintaining key academic support functions for the College.
• Forms strategic partnerships across CON and across campus to achieve academic program goals and objectives.
• Able to assist both graduate and undergraduate programs during peak times of clearing students for clinical placements.
• Provides clerical and staff support to Academic Program Directors, when needed.
• Works with Academic Affairs team to develop and maintain procedures to support assigned programs.

Salary Information

USA / MTA Non-Exempt Grade 13.
