Customer Support Parts Specialist Summary :
The Parts Specialist is responsible for securing parts for customer orders and replenishing inventory stock. They would be the primary contact with suppliers when ordering parts and advising of changes. Prepares, reviews, and tracks purchase orders through the procurement process through. Executes daily assignments with full understanding of importance of quality, accuracy, communication, and how it impacts the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ability to learn the system for inventory management applications.
- Expedites material as required to support customer order.
- Obtains updates on delivery dates for shortages and communicates to stakeholders.
- Maintains a strong relationship with suppliers and customers.
- Responsible for reporting, research, and actions for obsolete and excess inventory.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline and reduce waste in current state.
- Assists in the investigation of inventory discrepancies, root cause identification, and corrective action to mitigate future occurrences.
- Request and update supplier lead times.
- Monitor supplier's performance and be able to assist with clear expectations for improvement when necessary and sustain acceptable level.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance team performance.
- Problem solving and outside of the box thinking to resolve opportunities as they arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GEDThe successful candidate must be motivated and accountable, with the confidence to drive decision making and craft innovative solutions.Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in part sales.Proficiency with Microsoft applications (ex., Word, Excel, Outlook) or related MRP / ERP systemsStrong verbal and written skills that foster open communication with internal and external customers.Excellent organization skills that establish priorities, identify, and set goals to meet deadlines.General Physical Requirements :
