The Purchasing Manager holds a strategic leadership role within the organization's supply chain and procurement function. This position is responsible for guiding the purchasing team, shaping procurement strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The scope of leadership includes operational oversight, strategic planning, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential to the company's operations. This role involves developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering, finance) to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of buyers or procurement specialists.
