Working alongside the Head Wrestling Coach, coaching responsibilities include developing novice through advanced athletes in both the JV and Varsity all-gender program, which practice together. The selected coach should have knowledge of high school folkstyle rules, should be able to contribute multiple appropriate drills to teach and improve skills in folkstyle. While not a requirement, the ideal candidate will also have working knowledge in freestyle wrestling, as that is the direction that high school girls wrestling is moving in. All coaches will support and foster an inclusive team community. All coaches on staff also contribute to meet day operations.
During the winter season, commitment is approximate 20 hours per week (Monday – Friday), starting November 10, 2025 through the end of February. There is no wrestling programming from November 21-December 1, or from December 22 – January 4. Afternoon practice during season typically run from 3 : 30-5 : 15 pm. Meets are typically on Saturdays, with an occasional Wednesday afternoon meet. The team usually has 2-3 overnight tournaments, depending on the tournament location, as the host rotates each year. No benefits.
