Overview

Assistant Swim Team Coach

Under the supervision of the Head Swim Coach, this position assists with swim team practices and swim meets as needed. Nights and Sundays required. Must have active Lifeguard Certifications. (ex. YMCA, Red Cross)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality and consistency in all assigned workouts throughout all levels of ability.
• Attend meets and practices as needed.
• Write and implement workouts for each practice as instructed by head coach.
• Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times.
• Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual's goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
• All other duties as assigned.
• At least 18 years of age.
• No experience necessary, training to be completed on site. Competitive swimming or coaching experience a plus.
